Color / appearance: she has a very unique look, the predominant colors are black and grayish brown, sapwood is pale yellow and is used in many work to highlight even more the showiness of this wood. Sharp contrast between the growth rings of the tree, corresponding to the black lines with times of summer or water shortages. Heartwood have shades of Brown, grey, green and purple.
Grains / texture: grain is straight or slightly criss-cross. Fine texture, good natural shine.
Resistance: resistant front rot and insect attacks.
Machinability: despite being a quite dense wood, it is easy to work, aimed at blunting the sandpaper and cutting tools, due to its high content in oils. Very good finish, high polished.
Odor: mild and pleasant scent.
